High Point does a few things differently from the rest of the Triad, and two of them matter to anyone hiring an electrician. The City of High Point runs its own electric utility, so a large part of the city is not on Duke Energy, and the city runs its own permitting and inspections. We work within both.
- UtilityMany homes are on City of High Point electric, not Duke
- LicenceLicensed NC Electrical Contractor #SP.SFD.39353
- PermitsPulled through the city, inspected by the city
- Housing MixEstablished neighborhoods to newer builds near Oak Hollow
- EstimatesFree, written, and itemized
- Service ChangesWe coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with the utility
What We See in High Point Homes
High Point has established neighborhoods like Emerywood with homes that are decades old, and newer development to the north around Oak Hollow Lake and the Wendover and Eastchester corridors. The older homes bring panel replacements, grounding corrections, and lighting and smart-control upgrades in rooms that were wired long before anyone had a dimmer, let alone a keypad. The newer ones mostly bring EV chargers and added circuits. On any service upgrade we confirm first which utility serves the house, because the meter pull, reconnect, and any charger incentives depend on it.
