Good lighting changes how a home feels and works — and bad wiring behind a fixture is one of the most common problems we find in older Winston-Salem and Ardmore houses. We install recessed lighting, swap fixtures, retrofit LEDs, and add exterior lighting, all wired and supported to code.
Recessed Lighting Done Right
Modern canless LED wafer lights install cleanly in finished ceilings with minimal drywall work, run cool, and dim smoothly on the right dimmer. We lay out spacing for even coverage, use IC-rated fixtures where insulation contact requires it, and put the lights on properly rated dimmers — mismatched LED dimmers are the source of most flicker complaints we get called for.
Fixture Changeouts and Ceiling Fans
Chandeliers, pendants, vanity bars, and ceiling fans each have their own support requirements — a fan on a standard light box is a code violation and a falling hazard. We install fan-rated boxes and braces where needed, and we’ll tell you when an old box behind the fixture needs replacing rather than quietly reusing it.
Exterior and Landscape Lighting
Porch lights, floods, motion security lighting, and low-voltage landscape runs — installed with weatherproof boxes, in-use covers, and GFCI protection where the NEC requires it.
